  2. Vacation Plans Affected
    71% of Italians factor mosquito presence (or absence) into their holiday destination choices.
  3. Fear of Bites
    65% fear being bitten, 58% suffer sleepless nights, and 49% worry about mosquito-borne diseases.
  4. High-Risk Areas
    Tourist spots (65%), parks (57%), urban homes (54%), and indoor public spaces (47%) are the most affected.
  5. A Growing Problem?
    41% believe mosquito populations have risen significantly in recent years.
  6. Top Prevention Methods
    Mosquito nets (72%), skin repellents (67%), plug-in vaporizers (55%), and electric devices (40%) are the most common solutions.
  7. Demand for Information
    64% want to stay informed about health risks, primarily via the internet/social media (68%), pharmacists (55%), and doctors (49%).
  8. Worse Abroad?
    46% think mosquito risks are higher outside Italy, while 37% see no major difference.
  9. Balanced Awareness Campaigns
    56% call for public health campaigns, and 47% believe repellent manufacturers play a useful role in promoting awareness.
