71% of Italians factor mosquito presence (or absence) into their holiday destination choices. - Fear of Bites
65% fear being bitten, 58% suffer sleepless nights, and 49% worry about mosquito-borne diseases. - High-Risk Areas
Tourist spots (65%), parks (57%), urban homes (54%), and indoor public spaces (47%) are the most affected. - A Growing Problem?
41% believe mosquito populations have risen significantly in recent years. - Top Prevention Methods
Mosquito nets (72%), skin repellents (67%), plug-in vaporizers (55%), and electric devices (40%) are the most common solutions. - Demand for Information
64% want to stay informed about health risks, primarily via the internet/social media (68%), pharmacists (55%), and doctors (49%). - Worse Abroad?
46% think mosquito risks are higher outside Italy, while 37% see no major difference. - Balanced Awareness Campaigns
